I've been hearing about Windows Workflow recently and some potential uses of this have come up at work so I've been doing a little research to get up to speed on what it is and what you can do with it.

From what I've seen so far it is pretty compelling in terms of how it will change the development process to make things flexible to changes in business process and it will allow or perhaps force us to model our applications more closely to the business processes they represent. It will make it easier to work with business analysts and probably lead a lot of developers to become developer/analysts by forcing them to model and think about their apps in terms of business process.

Some good links for anyone else who is interested.

A free online course from Microsoft, actually there are 3 free courses and Workflow Foundation is just one of them.
There's a few typos in there and not as much detail as I would have liked about how to host workflows in ASP.NET but it is a good starting point.

Dino Esposito article part 1 and part 2

Good stuff, I look forward to really trying it out. I don't really want to booger up my main XP development machine by installing the beta of .NET 3 so I think I'll plug in my other drive cradle and boot up to the latest Vista to play around with it.
